No Turn on Red

Do you ever ask yourself some days why you taught your kids to read? I had one of those moments last Friday night. I was driving my son home from swim practice when I slowly approached a yellow light. I looked both ways and made a smooth right turn as the light turned red. Precisely at that moment, my son yells out – “MOM! The sign said no turn on red.” I had to keep myself from laughing out loud as I thought, ”Darn it, the kid can really read.” Honestly, I completely missed the sign. My son has probably saved me from a future ticket for making a traffic violation at that intersection.  I guess I should be very thankful for that!
