Victory!

Well, I finished my “V is for Victory” scarf last night and I wanted to share a few pics of the final product.
I am very happy with the final results and I can not stress how easy and fun this pattern is to make. Everywhere I went, I got tons of compliments on the scarf, which made me feel great! In fact, yesterday at the pool, I was working on the finishing rows and this little girl came up to me to admire the scarf. “You’re doing really good with that knitting,” she said to sort of break the ice. (Aah….how sweet!
) Then, she started telling me how her nana knits great gifts for her. How special! I told her that she was a really lucky girl and then I explained that the scarf was in memory of our service men and women and that it would be donated to someone who has lost a loved one while serving our country…..she was really touched and it felt great to share a few “fibers” moments with her. Maybe she is a knitter/crocheter in the making?!? I am sure her nana would be thrilled!

I love it! I haven’t made a scarf in FOREVER! Maybe I need to make one. I haven’t had much time to crochet…think I need to make some time! Thanks for your wonderful comment on my post! It was a great time…I am hoping to get some other families involved.

Really nice! I’ve got it in my Ravelry faves. Now to do some stash diving.
