The Bargain Bin

I stopped off at AC Moore yesterday after work to pick up some supplies for the swim team. I fell in love with the spirited buttons that a crafty mom use to make in the 90′s for each swim team family. I thought – “I can do that” and I scooped up my 15% off coupon to get started on the project. Much to my surprise, there was a special treat waiting for me at the store. While strolling through the foamies aisles, guess what I found in the bargain bin?!?
A Boye electric yarn ball winder! I couldn’t believe it…what in the world was the manager thinking?!? Funny thing is that I walked pass it several times trying to resist the urge to splurge….I went for swim team stuff and I was determined to leave with just that! Well, my yarn addiction got the best of me and I took it along to the check-out counter. And, this is the kicker, it ended up being nearly 75% with my coupon…..YEAH!!!!
So, of course, I had to give it a spin. It works like a charm….literally. The only thing is that I can see where a swift would be useful too. I had a hard time keeping up with the winder, even at the lowest speed. Well, considering the fact that the winder has been on my “wish list” for several months, I can definitely wait for a swift.
Voila! A few seconds later I have the perfect ball of yarn.
