Feeling Alive Again

Now that the dance shrugs are done, I have some quality time to spend with a design that has been floating around in my mind for a couple of months now. It is so exhilarating to be designing again….I feel so alive, so darn happy.

Best of all, I learned a few lessons from my last two stints at designing that I am putting into practice this go-around. 1) I made a mock-up of the final product using paper. I worked out all of the measurements beforehand instead of crocheting blindly. 2) I am going to type out the pattern as I go along….no more taking scribbly notes and trying to decipher 2 months later. My goal is to get the gauge swatch and embellishment sample worked up tonight. Boy, this is fun!
