Do You Lose Sleep to Crochet or Knit?

I ran across this cute little byline for designer Tracy St. John in the latest issue of Tangled.

Tracy St. John has begun looking a little scary since she gave up sleep in order to have more crochet time. If you feel the same way and would like to help her build an army of crochet zombies, please contact her on Ravelry as yarnarriffic, or at tracy@tangledness.com.

This got me to thinking about how many sleepless nights I have had recently in between finishing up designs, working on random projects and completing tech editing contracts. But, I do it all happily. When it’s your passion – when you don’t feel right unless you have at least a little creative stitch time each day – do you really have a choice? I think not. I wish that I had more time to dedicate to my crochet; but until then, I will be the ‘zombie woman’ downing coffee each morning to get my day started. I guess it is a small price to pay for the priceless joy I feel when I am immersed in the world of crochet.
